there are enough reasons why i wouldn't want to buy the iphone one is that you're stuck to a data plan two year contract and monthly varying bills something i wouldn't want to pay, after paying 500+ for the phone with contract already i rather drag my laptop with me. So, we will see what the future brings. A perhaps more important reason why I like the iphone is because i think this forces competition to push the market to better phones thy update a lot but update the same the iphone skips a generation, and now everybody has to move towards that to stay up to date. pushing technology is something i am for it ends up with affordable $99 phones with no data plans in a few years. and that's when i would consider that the iphone is affordable for consumers, and reasonable to have a contract for too, without the costs of a data plan seeing how wimax is being covered by towns more and more. i rather see these changes start up now then in 5 years from now if the argument is : nothing new then how come the iphone is th first to put it together with nice os, nice functionality, slick design, etc. 1+1+1+1+1== win others have +1. that's it besides a nice touch screen, slick design, .. it's getting there. and pushing the market companies and technogoly if microsoft would have done this, it would have been done a year ago, and we'de be having affordable touch screen systems now for consumers and not just c+ developers ;)
