Hi all, With some great IRC help I hacked together a very basic plugin that simply spits out real-time coordinate locations of tanks to stdout. Without going into all the reasons why I'd like to do it :-) I thought I'd mention the topic here to see if it gains any traction. For various reasons it would be handy to have a stream of x,y,z, azimuth and velocities available to developers who want to 'watch' a game using a very wide variety of 3rd party tools or systems. Of course each use or purpose likely requires different interfaces, but a simple GPS-like stream of coordinates would at least go a long way. With Thumpers help I at least have the basics at my finger tips, but wondered if anyone else would like to collaborate on improving it, for example setting up 'filters' to reduce density if desired, put in transforms to move between map and real-world coordinates, transformers to switch output formats, etc. I know of at least one other spatial geek who wants this - did I pique anyone else's interest?
