Hello, I have several IMAP4  accounts.  Some of the attachements are larger than 10 MB, reading emails with large attachement files and scanning IMAP4 email accounts with 32 bit Thunderbird and only 500 MB SWAP partition is _very_ slow,  

after a while the hard disk starts to scratch and Thunderbird crashes.  I run solaris express.
is this known please?

On the same machine running debian on another hard disk with 1 GB swap partition no problems like this exists.
