Hello, I am morbidly obese and I don't really want to lose weight to be honest. My problem is my back and just doing normal activities. I am 6'5" 350 and I have been this weight since I was 16. I've been fine with it to be honest, I was happy with my body. I am 20 now and going on 21. In October 2004 I was 350 pounds, my parents separated and I moved in with my uncle and aunt who are two registered nurses. I started eating at regular intervals and healthier. I would walk to school every day(aprox 1.5miles) and wasn't winded or anything, I went at my own pace so it wasn't too bad. I enjoyed it. When I graduated in May 2005 and moved to Canada, I was 305 pounds, the lowest I ever remember being... and I wasn't even trying to be 100% honest. Anyway, I got lazy. I applied for college and didn't get accepted so I just vegetated. I got a laptop, I would lay in my bed and play WOW all day for like 12 hours a day. Since I'm a Native I just went on Welfare and leeched off my mom. I didn't really care about anything to be honest. I would just lay on my side and stay in that position for 12-16 hours a day, not even getting up to go eat dinner. I had no prospects and my mom was getting angry. In May 2006 she told me to get a job or move out, I got a job at Walmart stocking shelves... it was fucking hell. I did this until July and fucking quit. Why? Because I couldn't stand up for more then 3 hours. I worked from 11:00 to 7:00 and usually at 3:00AM my legs would be dead and I would look for any reason I could to just sit down for 5 seconds. Its sad, I know. After July I went back to WOW until, well, July 1, 2007. In February 2007 I noticed that I had a hard time walking straight. My back would hurt so much just walking out to the car and I couldn't walk upright without being in excruciating pain. I would get to the car and be winded... but I just kept being a slob. I decided to go on a walk to the store a block away to buy bread and this is where it became a huge problem for me. I couldn't get to the store without being extremely winded and being in EXTREME pain. My back was so bad I almost cried. And I'm only 20 years old. I got half way to the store, sat down on a rock for like 10 minutes, then walked the rest of the way and sat outside the store because I didn't want to go into the store panting. The reason this is relevant is because when I first moved to Canada I would walk here all the time, and not have any problem at all. In fact once in August 2006 I ran to this same store to buy some smokes. The reason I ran was because for a silly reason, I was running late for a WOW raid. As I was running back, I actually broke my leg... I fell in my haste to get back and broke my leg. I ended up missing the raid and being out of it legitimately for 6 weeks... I believe this is where my problems started officially with my back. Well, I want to lose weight. Hell, fuck that, I actually just want to be able to walk without any back problems. I can't sit in this chair I'm in right now for more then 5 minutes wihtout readjusting, I cannot stand for more then 5 minutes without looking for something to support my weight. And the problem is my lower back. The lower 5 vertabre(sp) is where the pain is at, right where the crack of my ass starts. I actually have the pain right now. I quit smoking January 1st, so don't tell me to do that, it's been done. Right now I am willing to take the first steps in losing weight. I am cutting out ALL carbonated beverages, even though they are diet. Also, I am going to monitor what I eat and eat more healthy. My problem though is my back. I want to have no pain and be able to walk straight... what can I do? I live two blocks from a gym but I'm too poor to afford a membership. One plus thing is that my mom accidently broke my laptop. She tripped over the power cord and snapped my motherboard in half. I have to go on my mom's pos desktop to use the computer and I can't play WOW now, I guess it's a blessing in disguise. But my back hurts so much right now as I sit here and type this message.
