Mind telling me your secret to how you do your text? It's seriously awesome. (Reply to this)(Thread)

Ah, so it varies each time? I'm mostly interested in 1, 62, 71, 56, and 55. I know how to use the rotation and all, but how do I get it to LOOK like it's part of the picture and not just an addon? (Reply to this)(Parent) (Thread)

Sometimes, yeah. I use Photoshop on my Mac and Paint Shop Pro on my PC, so lol.

Uuuuh. 56 I turned the layer into I think a screen layer, and then with a lot of the others I just lowered the opacity so it looks a lot softer than some text normally does. Not as sharp and kind of blends back.

For 1 and 55, those were from eyedropping a colour from the icon itself and using that as text in contrast to the light backgrounds. The rest was just a lot of fiddling with placement.

92, 94, and 99 are SUPER awesome. How did you do the colouring in 94? (Reply to this)(Thread)

punkish 2007-03-02 01:09 pm (local) (link)
A light to dark purple gradient screen layer and a texture put to screen for the rest of the colours, with black text underneath both. (Reply to this)(Parent)

I hope you don't mind me asking (what with people already asking you questions already), but what are the names of the capital-letter, bold-stencil type fonts that you used in 02, 07, and 76? Thank you! I adore your icons to bits. They're all lovely. :) (Reply to this)(Thread)

The fonts are things like Viper Nora and Depressionist 3. (Reply to this)(Parent) (Thread)
