*NO* lvm. delete all thats in the filesystem (setup manually when it asks instead of autoatically).

/ filesystem, ext3 and 1GB or more.
/tmp filesystem, ext3 and 256MB or more
/boot filesystem, ext3 and 256MB or more
/var filesystem, ext3 and 1GB or more
/usr filesystem, ext3 and 2GB or more.
2GB to swap partition

/vz is the rest. this filesystem *must* be reiserfs due to inodes on ext3.

when it asks to customise install, go for it and untick webserver etc all
 just leave the basic admin tools and network drivers.
