Any common pitfalls here? Have any laptop users successfully installed and configured Synaptics for scrolling, etc? Report to moderator Logged Contact me if you have a request for the Wiki. It works great now. I've created an article in the Wiki corresponding to this solution. The xorg.conf settings I suggest are more generic (using /dev/mouse1 instead of /dev/psaux, for example), but feel free to add on to the article.
