but even this movie had one unavoidable classic hollywood scene, but it is just one happy.gif so it is like there is no any.

Which scene?

Just saw the very end of this movie on TV, and the fight scene really reminded me of DragonBall Z. The two fighters used energy attacks, and even flew, to knock each other back. It really makes me wonder where they got the idea.

The Covenant
Final Fight Scene:

I saw now, and I can say that action is horrible to me also,
I mean when they jump it takes them years to land to the ground, almost the rope is visible.
visual Effects are not too bad.
Atmosphere is somewhat interesting.
The worst thing about this vid was Linkin Park IMO.

Anyway if DBZ is going to be like this, it is going to be very bad of course.

That movie is horrible. The acting was horrible. The plot was horrible. The fight scenes were horrible. And the special effects were horrible.

it they made everything same or really close we would all know what is going to happen next and a lot of people wouldnt go and watch the movie.

One question - why on the world do you care for "lot of people"!?!? Just you don't worry about them they have MORE than enough hollywood movies to watch.

And for this:

Not putting goku in high school is weird but they do have to change some stuff to get a lot of different audience not just dbz people.

And THAT is why hollywood movies based on something are bad, and broking that thing which they are based on, just because they wanted it for every kind of audience...

The only one hollywood movie based on something, and which I liked very much is "300" but even this movie had one unavoidable classic hollywood scene, but it is just one happy.gif so it is like there is no any.

I see some good thing and bad things coming out of it.

Bad is that they are making a big change, and the good is that i just saved bunch of $ on my car insurance by switching to gecco. lol laugh.gif

but really, its bad that did a big change like that. I know that there were going to be changes but they might be changing 2 much.

Now the good thing is that movie is coming. And the reason for a change it to do better on big screen.

So i think that they are doing this change for BIG SCREEN, and it might be just better like that for the movie.

Nothing good will come of this movie if those character descriptions are even 10% true, and you can quote me on that.

i agree about the importance of a dragonball movie with the piccolo saga before everything else

BUT i also think that the piccolo saga (maybe just the first half) is a bit childish, so they could make it a bit darker...
or they could make two parallel plots that then blend together..
i explain better:

------------------------------------
PLOT A: goku arrives on earth, lives with gohan, who trains him and tells him about the dragonballs. then he meets bulma and yamcha and then also krillin when he trains with him at Roshi's for the tournament.

PLOT B: a green, evil and still misterious (to the audience) person named King Piccolo is looking for something to rule the world. he sends his henchmen around the planet to find it. later, when one of his men finds one, we discover that what he's looking for are the dragonballs.

now the 2 plots blend in PLOT AB: the ball that piccolo has located is Gohan's, so he sends his men to take it and gohan dies. Goku defeats piccolo's men and begins to search the dragonballs with his friends.

This is the first half of the movie.
After some years, piccolo is defeated by Goku but he "creates" piccolo jr before he dies. Some other years later, Piccolo jr shows up and fights with Goku in the new tournament, where also Tien will appear and join Goku. Some years pass by and goku's son Gohan is born. then the turning point and introduction to the Saiyan saga.
Raditz arrives on earth and reveals goku that he's an alien. then after fighting with piccolo, he kidnaps gohan. piccolo decides to forget goku for a while to defeat raditz, and makes a sort of deal with goku. with this deal the movie ends, leaving the audience ravenous for the sequel..... hopefully blink.gif
---------------------------------------

i know i didn't talk about kami or about krillin's death but i DO want them in the movie, i didn't write about them to make the post shorter tongue.gif

Star Wars 4 was never meant to be '4' when it was released, I actually remember Star Wars 1 to 3 (as in 4 to 6) coming to TV (back in the 1990's), before Episode 1 came out or the remakes. You do know that Stars 4 to 6 didn't come out in the 1990's, they were remade then, though they really came out in the 1970's if I'm correct. From Wiki:

Anyway, X-men wasn't too bad, so maybe they wont spoil DB too much either, and then their are all those spin-offs, two for X-men (Wolverine and Magneto) and one for Fantastic Four (Silver Surfer).

They could always do a spin-off for some of the other characters (maybe a RR Army, maybe one with the History of Freza, the Sayains, Namekians, Bardock, Kami, Picollo and even Goku, Dragon Ball: The Beginning), though the Series NEEDS to start with DB, and Picollo's story NEEDS to be before anything about DBZ.

The first Movie could be just DB, the second DB2 (2 looks similar to Z, so it could look like both), as with the thrid, DB3.
