Imagine, four Xbox 360 consoles with Halo 3, 16 controllers, 4 large projectors and a whole lot of chairs! Sometime in the near future, the Mary Ward Video Studio will be holding a Halo 3 tournament to fund raise for new video equipment. The people responsible for setting up this tournament, Nick Presta, Earl Oliveros, Mark Galura as well as Ms. Arturi, invite you to bring your friends for a day of fragtastic fun! The tournament will feature two game-types, Team Slayer/Objective, and Free For All. Team Slayer will feature 4 teams of 4 playing round robin style (Every team plays every team an even amount of times) in which the top two teams with the highest score (1 point awarded for a win, 0 points awarded for a loss) will go on to the tournament finals, to play a best of 5/7 series. The FFA tournament will feature multiple games of Slayer and Objective, where the winner(s) will be the players with the highest point total (5 points awarded for 1st, 4 points awarded for second, 3 point awarded for third, and so on). There will be a small prize in addition to being crowned the best Team or Individual in the school. There will be be a door fee, where all players must pay to play. Right now, we're in the planning phase, so if you are interested in this tournament, join, invite anyone you know who would be interested so we can get some numbers and an idea of how popular this venue would be. Remember, this tournament is not finalized yet. I have to meet with Ms. Arturi to finalize the location, rules and organization of this event. We're open to any ideas, or suggestions you may have, so don't be afraid to find one of the Admins (Or Ms. Arturi) and let us know what you think.
