[22:49:35] okay this is weird [22:49:43] if i type something in the search bar [22:49:50] that has 'some' hits in the history search [22:50:14] opera takes about half a sec 'freeze' or 'shutter' to display it [22:50:30] Yeah :( [22:50:35] which is significantly better than the alpha builds' 10 second [22:50:41] but that's not the weird part [22:50:50] let's say i type sho.com [22:51:07] when i press s there are a couple of hits already before h gets hit [22:51:19] so the most popular is highlighted for a fraction of a second [22:51:43] I think it needs a short timeout after a keypress [22:51:51] then i press h and it has a best match highlighted for a fraction of a second [22:51:56] It would cure a lot of those freezes [22:51:57] which is still not the weird part [22:52:27] now when i press the next character in the desired word that opera needs more time to find [22:52:35] and makes that little freeze [22:53:02] and opera shows that highlighted best match for that fraction of a second [22:53:13] that highlight is sometimes very very distorted [22:53:32] Screenshot it? Half a sec should be plenty of time :P [22:53:33] kinda like a completely black rectangle (not even the right blue color which the highlight is) [22:53:51] with short white horizontal 1pixel high stripes in it [22:53:56] * Remco did screenshots of stuff that only blinked on the screen [22:53:58] i've seen this like 20 times today [22:54:12] but i couldnt once make a shot of it [22:54:27] and of course next time when i search for that same word [22:54:33] I've seen this, but only once. [22:54:34] for some reason opera doesn't freeze [22:54:44] because it has the result cached or something [22:55:14] and i'm fairly certain it's not just my eye [22:55:20] but some kind of display bug [22:55:31] well... since it's in a totally wrong color [22:55:58] csant-: do you think this sounds at all possible? :)
