melanie> and now i need to know the revisio to use with current opensim svn yes so what revision?? that was the question all along unfortunately, that information was lost in the sands of time the last person to update libsecondlife did record the rev they used, and libsecondlife has no built in version strings didn't record that should be have you tried compiling the version of libopenjpeg-libsl which is part of the oslibs= |<-- lmmz has left efnet () svn+ssh://OpenSim/var/svn/opensim-libs/trunk i suppose that takes a password to get? I don't know really let me check http://opensimulator.org/svn/opensim-libs/ http://opensimulator.org/svn/opensim-libs/trunk that's the anon tree yes pieced it together myself already but thanks *lol* there are actually two scriptengines at work in the code that svn has most of the external libs we use I was wondering why my changes didn't stick no error messages [MODULES] [11-01 07:39:32] Found Module Library [C:\OpenSim\trunk2\bin\ScriptEngines\OpenSim.Grid.ScriptEngine.DotNetEngine.dll] [MODULES] [11-01 07:39:41] Found Module Library [C:\OpenSim\trunk2\bin\ScriptEngines\OpenSim.Region.ScriptEngine.DotNetEngine.dll] heh you're the one that forked them :) libsl revision 1457 -->| antont (U2FsdGVkX1@pallas.utanet.fi) has joined #opensim-dev thanks ldvoipeng that should be docced somewhere that doesn't sound rigth to me ldvoipeng Tleiades: an upgrade did happen after your issues no we are basically still stuck on the old libsl version I'm 99% certain let me check http://opensimulator.org/svn/opensim-libs/trunk/unmanaged/openjpeg-libsl/opensim_build_notes.txt there in black and white :) yes, but have you taken into account the change in branching the libsl team has made? oh, I think that it hasn't moved from opensim-libs yet look, thats the doccumentation if its changed , then whoever changed it needs to correct the docs. Thats whats doccumneted, so to me, thats what rev it is :) honestly, I was hoping we'd get a libsl release by now, so we could stop playing match all the svn revisions :) ldvoipeng .. that isn't what I am saying the issue is that the libsl team has changed branching strategy yeh, the libsl guys are doing everything in branches/dev well heres a simple fix it is outlined on their website and trunk doesn't work any more someone recompile the d*** lib and update the docs it's not that easy, unfortunately, we tried that well then Ill do it, but since I have no privs, it does no one any good calm down folks im plenty calm :) its not very difficult to compile sources folks I remember we tried to do that, and some thing broke in the linux version it is when you have to synchronize getting native libs built for at least 5 plaforms yes its called cross compiling :) because the version of libopenjpeg-libsl needs to match tell you what, why not ask Danx0r, he was working on all this anyhow, danx0rZZZ actually right this is why there is the -libs tree i think the libsl folks are moving the dev branch to trunk soon if you see the log on the main branch it says 1291, 1292 1424,1432 the 1357 build we use, has been hidden, in some subbranch yes, I've been looking forward to that, for quite a qhile now btw isnt 1 of the 1457 the version and 457 the revision no, it's subversion so that is sequential from 1 as soon as the merge back, I would propose that we update to the latest version of libsl and libopenjpeg there here: libopenjpeg-libsl-2.1.2.0.so -->| fephe (asl@h17n2fws31o1111.ta11-telia.com) has joined #opensim-dev it has some fixes for 64 bit os'es right, I agree, hence my initial suggestion :) but the interop methods have changed, so it isn't a simple riplace it seems that libsl we use might be revision 1292, but believe the libopenjpeg-libsl is a different version as that was recompiled again later for linux if I remember correctly no please visit their web-site and read about their changes in trunc http://www.libsecondlife.org/wiki/SVN_Structure well anyway we used whatever revision was current on the 1st of august from the time we grabbed the source code out of their svn and today, they have made significant changes to their tree ty MW yes, somewhere around version 1350++ like 1457 ? but less than 1400 really then at some point they changed svn strategy so if you grab the latest, 1432 Our current stable version (0.2) is based off of SVN revision 1295. and know we can't undate to a revision from 30th of august as that gives problems with some changes they must have done to texture entries. A number of us have spoke about creating our own cut down version of libsl, with just the classes we need in it, it almost identical to 1292, which is way too old for us thats fromt thier main page look, a month ago, I dl'ed the versions 1 by 1 from 1350 and onwards Tleiades: so, interesting fact about the asset server, POST gets the UUID from the doc not from the path which I think is bad :) to figure when I wouldn't have compiler errors
