deeper - use onyx instead. same developer.
smb-cifs - should be apple software update 
           (changing workgroup value doesn't stick)
gvim - builds only with -> python, cscope, multibyte, huge featureset.
       Trying to build with perl, tcl, and/or ruby fails. Only carbon for gui
       type builds mac binary. Binary has issues with mouse srolling (document
       doesn't scroll until mouse button clicked).
       UPDATE - moved to MacVim. Problem with compile errors for perl and ruby.
                tcl doesn't error, but is disabled in Help > Version.

Basically, in general, Perl, Ruby, and TCL are kinda messed up. MacVim's binary distribution has these 
disabled as well.
