The next leap I tread upon the sombre stones, and marvel at how far I’ve come, the sweat and pain I suffered here, cannot offset the glee I feel. Just as the toad first leaps then snags, so I must trudge to reap the gain. and though it seems plenty enough, it pales opposed to greater tests. Thus I await the next trial, a smile flirting my reddened cheek, all prepped and firm in will and body, and pray and hope I will not fall.
