When I first received the assignment to spend fifteen hours observing a classroom, I was both nervous and excited. I knew little of what to expect upon entering a classroom as an outsider, but I did know I'd walk out with plenty of information to further my understanding of what it takes to be a successful teacher. The first day I arrived at Forest Elementary, I was directed to Mrs. Karlinski’s First grade classroom. When I arrived, I was welcomed with a “Hello, Miss Barry!” coming from the class, this made me feel a lot better about the fifteen hours ahead of me. After I arrived, the children lined up to go to the library. I noticed as they were lining up that there was both an assigned line leader and line ender for the day, this was beneficial because it eliminated the chance of any bickering that could occur. The walk to the library went smoothly, without any disruptions
