I thought I'd have a go at xdm, but the guide just doesn't seem to explain things clearly, that I understand.

All I did so far was these:

ln -s .xinitrc .xsession 

/etc/rc.conf: 
xdm=YES xdm_flags="" # x11 display manager

The Xservers file was empty so I didn't know what to do for that, so I left it alone.

Xsetup_0 I placed this in it:
xpmroot /path_to_xpm/netbsd.xpm

Actually I wasn't paying attention here and placed the path to a .png so I'll change that to a .xpm

So what else do I need to do here, because this isn't working?
