public desc.: daxxar's pub desc: project-zs-ng (project-zipscript "next-generation") is an open-source zipscript written in C based on zs-c by dark0n3 when it no longer was maintained. It's mainly developed for glftpd, but it has recently been made to work for wzdftpd and cuftpd. Project Zipscript - Next Generation is what is commonly known as a zipscript, or a post check script for file uploads. Its task is, among others, to check the integrity of the files uploaded, and make sure your files are consistent and not corrupted. Of course, this is not the only thing done by this zipscript ;) Read the included documentation to find out why this zipscript is considered the best of the bunch by most. Reg. desc.: daxxar's reg desc: project-zs-ng is a C-program that is invoked by an FTP-server when new files are uploaded. It then checks the integrity of the files to make sure they're not corrupted. This is done via fileformat-specific metadata or by checksums from SFV-files. It was originally developed to work with the closed-source FTP-server 'glftpd', but support has recently been added so that it works with cuftpd and wzdftpd. There are also a host of additional features, like logging interesting info to a logfile for easy external parsing (bitrates of audiofiles, compressionlevel of RAR/ZIP), and it has been in use for a long time. This project has already lived for a long time, but we would like to submit it to a broader audience now. We reached version 1.0 in 2006 and have continued to advance on the bug/feature list. While it has been very tied up to a specific ftpd, we now aim to make it more generic and even module based for future ftpds to make better use of our project.
