So I'm learning the Colemak keyboard layout. I can type at probably like 2 WPM. Colemak? It's a new keyboard layout. * Toshi has quit (Quit: Switching to phone, later) It's supposedly faster than the Dvorak, especially for those who know QWERTY. I'm typing with QWERTY because A) I like it and B) Since when is speed an issue if you're not a secretary. Not just speed, but ergonomics as well. I'm not seeing it. I like my Qwertyuiop. =\ You're not seeing it because you're not trying. Anyway, I'll be like a devout monk and not speak for the next few days or so. Except replace the silence with sluggish replies. Actually it's because I dont't have a picture of it. I don't see the need, actually. In my experience there's no pressing requirement to change the layouts. Also, it removes the Caps Lock button altogether. Instead, it replaces it with a backspace, so you can have ambidextrous backspacing. * Lazo (Pistol@with.love.from.a.rubber.glove) has joined #yc * Bahamut sets mode +a #yc Lazo * Bahamut gives channel operator status to Lazo ...I can see that being much more annoying than bumping caps lock. How often do you ever needed that caps lock? DID SOMEONE SAY CAPSLOCK I sure use the backspace every now and then. Caps Lock? Not so often... It's a dead key to me. Backspace being there would also be a pain if you bump it. JLENS, JDAM, SLAMRAAM, SWORDS, ADS, etc. Especially if you're going for a CTRL+A and get a CTRL+Backspace instead. I personally don't use Caps Lock but I know plenty of people who do to save them the trouble of holding Shift down. 'K... As I said before, I'm not against it. I just don't see the point, Acronyms! Yes, please spend several weeks getting reaccustomed to your keyboard so you can type a few words faster than you could have in the past. :V Seems like a waste of time to me. Then again, I play far too many RPGs. And in RPGs you end up weighing whether it's worth it to buy something or not, and I apply that logic to everything. :V Anyway, I won't be doing too much talking this month. Unless it's hundreds of words faster, I'll pass. Okay. Usually what you find in there is inferior to what you find on the field. Ayuh? I'm not doing this for speed.
