Here's a bit of applied maths, possibly of use as an ice-breaking activity. Take a sheet of A5 paper, blank on both sides, and place it so that its width is greater than its height. Make a small mark in the bottom RH corner to define this orientation as "front, right way up". By folding it appropriately (three times is sufficient), divide the sheet by creases into two rows of four rectangular boxes, thus: Code: * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ^ * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * and restore it to "front, right way up". Now enter a letter in each box as follows: Along the bottom row from L to R: EKIP Rotate through 180 degrees, then along the new bottom row from L to R: CL!R (All entries so far are on "front" - now, turn the page over about a horizontal E-W axis) Along the bottom row from L to R: LLYI Rotate through 180 degrees, then along the new bottom row from L to R: EWST Turning the page over about a horizontal E-W axis should restore it to "front, right way up". Now pick it up and make three folds in succession: LH half under, i.e. about a vertical N-S axis Top half under, i.e. about a horizontal E-W axis LH half under again, which should leave just the box with the orientation mark visible. With scissors, cut along and just inside the top and RH edges, then put a couple of staples in the little booklet you're holding.
