Hello, I thought id give you the knowledge I have into help possibly fixing your net Step 1. Ring your ISP ( internet service provider ) to do a 24 hour Net check... If you Turn your broadband Modem/Router off normally, leave it on while they test it. Note. This Wont effect your Phone calls or Interfere with you using the Net Step 2. When you Request for the 24 hour Net Check Ask them if they would Help Step by Step to Upgrade your Firmware on your Modem/Router ( sounds quite difficult but it really isn't) when you have done that your modem act more sufficiently (modems/routers have software in them AKA firmware) Step 3. Note down the time you called your ISP and give them an extra two hours (Remember they have to Check the results) and then wait till that time, Ring your ISP for results, if they cant Pick anything up Never fear solutions are in the air Step 4. Ask them to Help you Set up a Static IP, its simply a quick configuration in your internet settings, they will talk you through it Static IP: a static IP is just a IP that never remains the same as a normal IP Step 5. If the Static IP doesn't work simply Change to its original IP, You'll need to Change your Filters on your Phone line and net and Ethernet Cable both of these can be purchased at IT@WORK, Replace the old with the new and give it try for a day. Step 6, Still not working? ok then I will have to recommend you replacing your internet modem/router I cant specifically recommend any but if you ask at IT@WORK they will happily recommend one for you. NOTE: if you have to purchase a new router be sure to upgrade the firmware on it. I hope I managed to help you with your net problem yours sincerely Phill
