Previous versions of the kernel package have a bug in which the kernel will kill processes due to perceived lack of memory ("OOM Killer") even though should be sufficient memory available. In addition, two low-impact security issues have been resolved. The worse of which is a denial of service in the CIFS client which can be triggered by connection to a malicious CIFS server. A system reboot is required to resolve these issues.
