When I got home last night I sent two e-mails….one using the .org address, and one using the .com address.  Only the .org came through.

I sent again this morning doing the same thing…only the .org came through.   Betsy tried both from her work and they both came through

Also when I went on line at home and put in the website address of www.stmichaelselca.com.... The first thing that came up is did you mean stmichaelsvac.

The next line had St. Michael’s listed… adult education…even our Roseville address but when I click on it and it ends up taking you to a St. Michael’s in Baltimore, Maryland.

I had Bets try this from her work this morning and this is what she gets from there as well:

This is what I see when I google on stmichaelselca.com.

The first one (St. Michael's Adult Education...) looks like our church, but it links to the Baltimore site.

The second (Google Directory....) does go to our church and it works when I get into it.

I don’t know all the computer lingo….what I do know…to paraphrase the gospel from last week is the website was working with no glitches, and now its not.

I don’t know if that is because of the new web hosting provider….or if in changing the coding there is a problem….not sure how or why we know have the .org.  Previously we only had .com  It seems like there are issues in transferring over when you type in .com

We did get a new computer several weeks ago…and had it set up by the Geek squad.  I will call the tech there and see if he thinks there is something in our set-up that is a problem….but clearly the google search thing isn’t limited to our computer so that is a more significant issue.
