HackThisSite IRC Operator Rules The following rules apply for all opers and administrators. The following rules WILL be strictly enforced, and your o:line may be removed on your first offense if an administrator sees fit. 1. IRC Operators may NOT ban/kill/gline/etc. each other without a good reason (the other oper abusing their privileges) - An IRC Operator may only take action if no administrators are active or present, but this should be immediately brought up to an administrator once one is present and/or active. (ie. opers killing opers) 2. IRC Operators may NOT ban/kill/gline/etc. other users without a good reason, whether it be joking around or not. (ie. opers killing users) 3. IRC Operators may NOT use OperOverride or OperServ MODE in unofficial channels to join or set modes when the channel owner or operators have instructed an oper not to do so, either via kick/ban or request. This rule can only be overridden if circumstances explicitly call for it (ie. illegal activity, abuse, etc.) 4. IRC Operators may NOT remove other oper's bans/glines/etc. unless the disciplinary action towards the user violates oper rules, server rules (/rules), or terms of services (/tos). An oper may only remove the action if no administrators are active or present, but this should mentioned in #opers or private messaged to an administrator, and immediately brought up to an administrator once one is present and/or active. 5. IRC Operators may NOT SAJoin/SVSJoin users or other opers into private channels that they do not belong in. This is mainly for #admin, #opers, and #stafftalk, but also includes channels in which the user has been disallowed access by the channel owner and/or channel operators. Basically, opers cannot SAJoin/SVSJoin users or other opers into channels unless a good reason is involved. 6. IRC Operators may NOT remove any of the following channel modes(ntrSCzTf [5j#R2,5k,7n#N7,7t]:5) for #hackthissite and(ntrSCTf [5j#R2,5k,7n#N7,7t]:5) for #help. The channel #admin must be administrator only(+A).
