I am currently a third year BSc (hons) Computer Systems Engineering student on course for a 1st or a high 2:1. I have based my undergraduate project on software development and computer vision, this was something I particularly enjoyed as it allowed me a certain degree of creativity in the topics I could cover, yet retained solid software engineering foundations. Through the completion of my project, I feel I have been able to develop and refine my skills in software engineering, as well as improving my problem solving skills and the documentation of results. I am also very interested in sport and competing to achieve personal or team goals, I play golf regularly for multiple teams within my club and in competitions at various clubs around the county. I compete for the scratch team in singles and doubles matches, trying to navigate the course in the most efficient way possible. I also went ski-ing in France for the first time last year and play football recreationally. As well as these sports I am a keen runner and competed in a number of events last summer, most notably a half marathon. Eventually my goal is to run the Flora London Marathon along with some local marathons in the future. I also have a keen interest in technology outside of university, especially programming. I am often asked to help with the repair and maintenance of family and friends computers but I especially like solving problems and programming. I enjoy breaking down the problems into sequential methods and functions. I also enjoy creative tasks such as front-end graphic and web design and learning how each stage in a development cycle fits together.
