lunatic from CAD forum posted: quote: I know this is my first post, so don't hurt me here. I can see that Rag's rants can be true, but can also be turned around. I see most Christians who don't agree on a lot of things in the bible, but still call themselves Christian. And people who say they're atheist and still pray every night because that's how they were raised. However, I do believe that there are gaming gods out there. Just like the multiple gods of the Greek (whom, if you didn't notice, the Romans stole....). You know they're there, you just can't prove it. Something good happens in a game, you silently pray thanks. Something bad happens, you curse. It happens. People WORSHIP their games. I do, my husband does, my brother does....ETCETERA. And, as it has been pointed out earlier, people play video games more than the majority of people in ANY religion go to church. It's big. I say, why not make it a religion? It would be good for those "geeks" who really don't fit into a religion. They would feel like they actually belong to something bigger. My husband is one of those people (myself, I am Wiccan....he got me into gaming). And it really wouldn't make you repent or feel bad if something happens. You'd be able to live your life as normal because you wouldn't HAVE to go to church. You'd just have to play games like you already do. I think my odd little rant made sense. It did to me, at least. ^_^ *flies off to save the rest of the world*
