0114,11 2255 +10Zac : We had a group of 65 kids
0114,11 2255 +10Zac : Which is massive
0114,11 2255 +10Zac : We normally split a group of 95 kids

0114,11 2259 +10Zac : anyway
0114,11 2259 +10Zac : We split this group of 65 into 5 groups
0114,11 2259 +10Zac : And set up 5 rotations
0114,11 2300 +10Zac : so we can just give them 45 minute blocks

0114,11 2300 +10Zac : So
0114,11 2300 +10Zac : There are five groups us instructors set up
0114,11 2300 +10Zac : 1.) Raft building (Team work/Team building exercise)
0114,11 2301 +10Zac : 2.) Rafting (White water rafts, but these are 12 y/os so we just bring them into the lake, works well too.. >_>)
0114,11 2301 +10Zac : 3.) Kayaking 1 (This is just them learning basic skills in a kayak)
0114,11 2302 +10Zac : 4.) Kayaking 2 (This is just games in the kayak, just some fun games we can play)
0114,11 2302 +10Zac : 5.) Land games (pretty self explanatory
0114,11 2303 +10Zac : Telly, Greg (both pro kayakers, so they set off and did Kayaking 1 and 2), Tim and Me
0114,11 2303 +10Zac : We got the parents to do raftings in the start
0114,11 2304 +10Zac : Wait

0114,11 2304 +10Zac : Cause he forgot some clothing for swimming in the lake

0114,11 2305 +10Zac : so we gave the kids some recources
0114,11 2306 +10Zac : We had 7 tyre inners, 9 floatable old branc things, 7 ropes
0114,11 2306 +10Zac : So we split the group we were given into 4

0114,11 2307 +10Zac : We gave them a few extra ropes
0114,11 2307 +10Zac : p.s I wonder if any of you awesome people are reading this
0114,11 2307 +10Zac : anyway
0114,11 2308 +10Zac : We taught the kids how to do a simple knot called the Fishermans knot
0114,11 2308 +10Zac : Which is a simple tye off know that won't come undone with extreme ease
0114,11 2308 +10Zac : knot that won't*
0114,11 2308 +10Zac : So they did that for 45 minutes
0114,11 2308 +10Zac : then they rotated
0114,11 2308 +10Zac : Me and Tim stayed there while they rotated
0114,11 2309 +10Zac : And we started to realise it was getting pretty hot
0114,11 2309 +10Zac : So, at the end of the second thing we were like to the parents who were doing the rafts
0114,11 2309 +10Zac : to do raft building
0114,11 2310 +10Zac : taught them all basic rape knots
0114,11 2310 +10Zac : That tend to work
0114,11 2310 +10Zac : Then we went to eat lunch
0114,11 2310 +10Zac : (With everyone btw, we arn't complete asshats)
0114,11 2310 +10Zac : Then started with the rafts
0114,11 2311 +10Zac : We acctuallt went from raft building -> the rafts with the group we were with when we did the second session of raft building
0114,11 2311 +10Zac : so that was sweet
0114,11 2311 +10Zac : I asked Tim what he wanted to do
0114,11 2311 +10Zac : and he decided he wanted to do the girls raft
0114,11 2311 +10Zac : (Split into girls and boys, easy stuff)
1314,11 2311 @10Moose : Zac, argentina is a country

0114,11 2312 +10Zac : I'm telling a story

0114,11 2312 +10Zac : Anyway
0114,11 2312 +10Zac : I was busily remembering games we could play in the raft
0114,11 2312 +10Zac : so I chucked everyone out
0114,11 2312 +10Zac : and thought some more
0114,11 2313 +10Zac : and they were screaming like banshees or some shit
0114,11 2313 +10Zac : trying to clamber into the boat
0114,11 2313 +10Zac : So I pulled them in with the speshul leet skillz that you tend to learn from doing one trip on the river
0114,11 2313 +10Zac : and we played this game where you stand in the middle of it
0114,11 2314 +10Zac : then, you all stand on the edge
0114,11 2314 +10Zac : then I go stand in the middle of them
0114,11 2314 +10Zac : and jump up and down
0114,11 2314 +10Zac : till they fall over
0114,11 2314 +10Zac : Cause it's this big creepy bouncy shit that goes on
0114,11 2314 +10Zac : And then I fail at flipping the raft
0114,11 2314 +10Zac : So w/e
0114,11 2314 +10Zac : It carrys on

0114,11 2317 +10Zac : Now I'm all good with scraping out little girls
0114,11 2318 +10Zac : But when it's 5 vs 1 in a 3x1 metre confined space
0114,11 2318 +10Zac : it's a a tad more difficult to "win"

0114,11 2325 +10Zac : And the people with the oars

0114,11 2325 +10Zac : so the person on front
