The first part is for the Date and all that using the array:

<script type = "text/javascript">
<!--
var current = new Date();
var day=current.getDay();
var months=current.getMonth();
var dayarray=new Array( "Sunday", "Monday", "Tuesday", "Wednesday", "Thursday", "Friday", "Saturday");
var monthsarray=new Array ( "January", "February", "March", "April", "May", "June", "July", "August", "September", "October", "November", "December");
document.write( "Today is " + dayarray[day] +", "  + monthsarray[months] + " " + current.getDate() );
// -->
</script>

The Second part is the last modified that goes at the end of the page:
<script type = "text/javascript">
		var modDate = new Date( document.lastModified );

               document.write ( "This page was last modified " + modDate.toLocaleString() );
	</script>
