I'm trying to get an IAX2 connection to work between two machines, initiating the call on 'nikita' and trying to pass that to 'jones' I'm using a call file and dropping it into the outgoing spool. The call file looks like this: Channel: IAX2/jones/442077319062 MaxRetries: 2 RetryTime: 60 WaitTime: 30 Context: iax-out Extension: s Priority: 1 The iax.conf on the client (nikita) looks like this: [general] port=5036 disallow=all allow=ulaw allow=alaw tos=lowdelay [jones] type=friend username=nikita secret=blabla host=jones.domainname.net context=iax-out the extensions.conf on the client (nikita) contains: [iax-out] exten => s,1,Dial(IAX2/jones/${EXTEN:1},30,r) exten => s,2,Congestion Meanwhile, at the host end of the connection (jones), the iax.conf contains: [nikita] type=friend username=nikita secret=blabla host=195.82.137.161 context=iax-incoming and jones' extensions.conf includes: [iax-incoming] exten => _XXX.,1,Dial(zap/g2/${EXTEN:1}) When I move the call file into the /var/spool/asterisk/ougoing on the client server, I get the following errors: on the client: -------------- nikita*CLI> -- Attempting call on IAX2/jones/442077319062 for s@:1 (Retry 1) -- Call accepted by 195.82.113.19 (format ulaw) -- Format for call is ulaw nikita*CLI> -- Hungup 'IAX2/jones/1' Apr 20 13:38:03 NOTICE[14889]: pbx_spool.c:232 attempt_thread: Call failed to go through, reason 1 on the remove server: --------------------- jones*CLI> -- Accepting AUTHENTICATED call from 195.82.137.161, requested format = 4, actual format = 4 -- Executing Dial("IAX2/nikita@nikita/10", "zap/g2/442077319062") in new stack -- Called g2/442077319062 -- Channel 0/1, span 2 got hangup -- Hungup 'Zap/32-1' == No one is available to answer at this time jones*CLI> -- Timeout on IAX2/nikita@nikita/10 == CDR updated on IAX2/nikita@nikita/10 -- Executing Hangup("IAX2/nikita@nikita/10", "") in new stack == Spawn extension (iax-incoming, t, 1) exited non-zero on 'IAX2/nikita@nikita/10' > cdr_odbc: Query Successful! -- Hungup 'IAX2/nikita@nikita/10' jones*CLI> Both machines are running Asterisk 1.0.5 Somebody please point out my stupid mistake(s) ! :) christo
